THE BEST June 23, 2010 E. P. Juras (KEWADIN, MI, US) The best spiritual guide. Number one. Essential to me. Based on Liturgy of the Hours.
Beauty from cover to cover November 29, 2009 L. Locker (Lawrence, KS United States) The artwork on the covers and in the back, along with the detailed explanation of the art sets the tone. Daily morning, Mass, and evening prayers; brief overviews of Saint's lives; and diverse and thought-provoking essays on each days reading add a lot.
This is the most beautiful devotional magazine I've ever seen! August 29, 2009 Tax Writer (Maui) This is the most beautiful devotional magazine I've ever seen. There are original meditations for prayer, fine essays, and inspirational prayers. The essays on the lives of the saints are wonderful and written for the layperson. The sacred art is faithfully reproduced.
The entire publication is fantastic and shows a level of devotion to detail that you rarely see in periodicals today. In an age of "People" magazine and other crass material, this gorgeous magazine stands out like a beacon.
This is absolutely a perfect gift for any Catholic. The Amazon price is fantastic. I was not able to find it cheaper anywhere else, although if you go to the publisher's main webpage (just search for Magnificat on the web and you'll find it) you can order a subscription for a longer period and the per-issue price goes down. You can get up to 50% off the cover price if you renew in advance for 4 years on the publisher's website. That's extremely reasonable for such a beautiful magazine. So if you know that you are going to continue to love this magazine, I would recommend renewing directly from the publisher so you can save some money.
I am sending gift subscriptions to at least three family members this year.
HIGHLY recommended.

I have read this magazine before and loved it. If this was available in Kindle format I would subscribe.
Magnificent Magnificat December 16, 2008 Luigi Del Gaudio (Sacramento, CA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Magnificat is a wonderful magazine, in that it provides all that is needed to assist some one at Mass with all the readings. This magazine provides much more than you get with the missalette that is provided in the pews by the parish. It also has wonderful articles about the saints and other matters. The only problem with it is the price, which in the end is worth it but a sometimes bitter pill to swallow.
