Great collection! March 3, 2010 A. Phillips (New Joisey) I'm completely biased, I love Harry Potter, but to have 1-4 and a disc of special features is really nice- especially since they're packed in slim cases and don't take up a ton of shelf space.
harry 1-4 February 17, 2010 Laura R. Houston (Craig,Co.81625) I recieved the set in a timely manner and they all played very well however I did recieve 2 of the same (goblet of fire) instead of 1-5 I recieved 1-4 which is fine it is cheaper for me to just buy the one I am missing.
loved the movies, but... January 31, 2010 Caterpillar (Indiana, USA) ...the dvds don't carry all scenes we've seen on tv before (and expected to find them here!). otherwise: great!
Great set January 24, 2010 Alex I got this set just before the 6th movie came out for a great price. May be a good item to check for those who are very price conscious. There are no commentaries and very minimal extras, so it's just the movies.
A fun intro to Harry Potter January 22, 2010 D. J. Nardi (Washington, DC) In some ways, this is the best Harry Potter movie. It's light enough for kids, but the story is engaging enough for adults. The beginning of the film really captures the magical world of wizardry, from the goblins to the first quidditch game. It stands well enough alone as a movie - you don't really need to know much about Harry Potter before watching it.
The kids are excellent actors. Rewatching it again after many, many years, I was impressed with the range of young Ron's emotions (by contrast, I find his later character a bit boring and pouty). They're adorable and frankly well cast.
Some of the later Harry Potter films are better produced and have better special effects, but few are so satisfying.
